My Waste My
Responsibility, Bihat

Welcome to the Solid Waste Management Program in Bihat Nagar Parishad, supported by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Akashganga Rang Chuapal Association and Tecnimont.pvt.ltd as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. Nestled in Bihar’s Begusarai district, this program is a beacon of hope amidst the environmental challenges facing India’s sacred waters by cutting the invisible flow of solid waste to the rivers. With over 205,000 residents across 39,111 households, Bihat Nagar Parishad leads a pivotal transformation in waste management. Our core strategy emphasizes circularity, ensuring waste re-enters the value chain instead of ending up in landfills. By implementing source-level segregation and scientific handling, we aim to inspire sustainable practices across Indian towns. Join us in creating a cleaner,  greener future for generations to come.
